Intersectional bookshop cafe

Welcome to The Common Press! A new (est 2021)  bookshop and café based in the heart of Shoreditch. We are consciously intersectional—we champion titles that represent queer and marginalised communities and work with a variety of independent creatives. We aim to be a warm and inclusive space where our community can socialise over good coffee, art and books.

We like our books like we like our coffee: hot, fabulous and strong enough to smash the patriarchy. Come in to enjoy a great cuppa, find your next favourite book, or browse exclusive merch from independent creators from all over the world. We also have two podcast studios to record your next podcast episode or to enjoy a quiet working hour with your mates.

Our subscriptions comprise of a curated selection of twelve beautifully wrapped books over the course of a year, posted directly to you or your chosen beneficiary. You can request books by particular authors or from particular genres - it's your subscription and we customise it to you.

Ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas, or even just as a New Year's treat to yourself!
